Shanie S. McCarty, CPA – Partner

With nearly 20 years in the field, over 10 of which have been Galanti & Co., Shanie has extensive experience in providing accounting, tax and audit services to her clients.

She has an in-depth understanding of the intricacies of the construction industry, where she works with clients on everything from tax return preparation to audited financial statements. Additionally, she conducts audits and financial reviews for a broad base of clients, helps them improve their accounting operations, and provides strategies to reduce their net tax liabilities.

Prior to joining Galanti & Co., Shanie was with Morehouse Firm in Dalton, GA. Shanie is an active member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants as well as the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and regularly attends Women Intelligently Networking (WIN) meetings. She is a graduate of the University of West Georgia where she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting.

On a Personal Note

Shanie attended the University of West Georgia as a Presidential Scholar (four-year academic scholarship) and is a proud alumnus of Chi Omega sorority. She currently lives in Marietta and has two children: a son, Dalton and a daughter, Chelsea. She enjoys volunteering with Hemophilia of Georgia, where her husband is the Development Director.

“My first experience with accounting processes began in high school with a basic bookkeeping course, and my first job in the cash room at the local K-mart.  I enjoy the analytical procedures and logical processes inherent in accounting and tax.”
